ABOUT THE PRINT LAB PROJECT

 

KB Gallery’s Print Lab Project is a “community” printmaking program designed to educate and promote the art of printmaking throughout the coastal region of Florence, Oregon.  For novice and experienced artists alike, the project provides beginning to advanced workshops on various printmaking techniques and related topics to support professional presentation of an artist's work (i.e., mat cutting, framing, paper making, book binding, portfolio, and self promotion). 

 

Hours of operation, fees, available equipment and supplies

Printmaking Workshops

Friends and Family Limited Edition Prints (Available December 1, 2014)

The Print Lab Project offers printmaking services for limited edition prints of your personal drawings.  This project provides an opportunity for those who enjoy drawing and/or doodling but are unable to participate in the art of printmaking.  Limited edition prints make fabulous high quality gifts for family and friends, and drawings made on copper is a magnficent means to preserve memories.   Simply order online or call 541-999-5875 to schedule an individual appointment with one of our experienced printmakers for this service.  Limited editions vary from 10 to 30 prints and are available in black or color ink on white or color paper.  Prices vary according to size, ink and paper.  Additional information on prices and features available here.

 

The Gang of 4: A Featured Collaboration of Printmakers at the KB Gallery

Additionally, the Print Lab Project seeks to provide an opportunity for 4 select artists (The Gang of 4) for a collaborative project that will be featured in the KB Gallery for 6 weeks.  For additional information on the Gang of 4 show, and details to submit an application for participation, please contact SK Lindsey.

 

 

ART EDUCATION AND ACTIVITIES

Print 'n Sip

 Every Thursdays 11:00 - 2:00PM, and 6:00 - 9:00 PM 

"Print 'n Sip" is an opportunity for those who wish to explore monoprinting with others while sipping wine or other refreshments.  Regardless if you have a background in art or not, enjoy Thursday evenings in creative exploration amongst friends! 

Cost: $15 (with materials), $10 (you provide materials)

Price includes all materials necessary to make your own monoprint.

Paint 'n Sip

 Calendar of events here 

Sundays, 2:00 - 5:00 PM

"Paint 'n Sip" is an opportunity for local, established artists to give a brief demonstration in their respective medium(s) to beginners.  For attendees, these demonstrations provide a glimpse of various techniques, including but not limited to: oil painting, collage, pastel, and mixed media.  Paint 'n Sip is a comfortable setting for beginners to ask questions and watch a more experienced artist work beside them in the gallery.

Cost: Varies according to fee scale of the demonstrator and necessary materials.

 

Figure Drawing

Wednesdays, 6:00 - 9:00 PM
Requirement: Must be 18 years or older to attend

Figure drawing from a nude model will soon be offered at the gallery.  

These will be guided sessions.  Models will pose in 30 second, 1-5 minute, 15 -30 minute, and 1 hour intervals. There will be brief 10 minute breaks for the model, and open discussion and critique for the artists throughout the evening.

Cost: $15 per 3 hour session
