Liz Johnson

Though Liz is well known for her monoprints throughout the region of Florence, OR.  Recently she was the Kenneth B Gallery's featured artist with her show entitled, “Living on the Edge”, from Dec. 11 thru Jan. 17th.  This show featured over 20 new large format monoprints.  Since that show, Liz has gained greater reputation and her works are now represented by Earthworks Galleries in both Yachats and Newport.

Liz Johnson uniquely combines various techniques to produce monoprints.  She develops each print through multiple layers of color, utilizing traditional methods of printmaking, and then further enhances the imagery with graphite or colored pencils and crayon.  Her rhythmic compositions are complimented with atmospheric fields that guide the viewer into an imaginary world of spiritual forces on the edge of transformation.  Piece after piece weaves into the next for a culmination of the whole.
